The Gourmet Experience is a weekend event for chefs to network, learn new cooking techniques, and visit local restaurants in Portland, OR. I created all the promotional pieces for the event. I created a fun, colorful logo and pattern that would be showcased across all the promotions. I designed an invitation, a brochure consisting of the weekend’s schedule and menu, a website, an Instagram page, and an apron for all the participants to wear while they were experimenting in the kitchen. I decided to give the logo and patterns a bright color pallet as it appeals to fresh ingredients. The pattern is simple, clean, yet sophisticated enough to be transferred across the multiple promotional pieces. The “E” in the word “experience” is designed as a fork and from there I created a smaller logo that is used as an icon throughout the system. This project was a fun take on event marketing and design.
